2 days after winning a dramatic victory against the Indonesian SEA Games Langu champion, Tran Van Thao entered the semi -final weight of 52kg men's weight. His opponent is Amit, Indian puncher. This is one of the highest -class fighters of the Indian amateur Boxing with the ASIAD 2018 championship.
Entering the match with Tran Van Thao, Amit proved to be completely active in all 3 rounds of the first match. “The Trigger” tried to regain the pace of the match as he wanted, but not playing the high record boxing for a long time seemed to make him difficult at some time of the match.
In all 3 rounds, the assessments won Amit to win against Tran Van Thao. The match closed with the final victory of 5-0 in favor of Amit, when the assessment gave the final score of 30-27. Tran Van Thao stopped in the semi -finals of Thailand to expand 2022 with a bronze medal.
Shortly after the match of Tran Van Thao closed, boxer Nguyen Van Duong Thuong was in weight of 57kg in weight against rival Ian Clark Bautista (Philippines). Similar to Amit, Ian Clark Bautista is also a veteran boxer of the Philippine box with 53 plays in international amateur boxing matches. In the 30th SEA Games in 2019, Bautista also won a medal of 56kg male weight.
In fact, Bautista is rated marginally better than Nguyen Van Duong in terms of achievements and competition experience, and everything that happens on the ring has reflected that. The Filipino boxer joined the game with the active posture and won the first half. In the second half, Bautista launched a very strong punch into the face, Ha Khong not Vietnamese boxers.
After the end of the Thailand Boxing Prize, the Vietnamese team will continue to stay in Phuket. It is expected that at the end of April – early May, the whole team will return to Hanoi, then move to Bac Ninh to prepare for the 31 SEA Games campaign.
