“The dream school. On 4/5, I will make a cycling trip through Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City – Hanoi 1727km long. This trip is made to call for a donation to build a school in Dien Bien. You watch and support me,” Le Huu Toan shared on his personal page.
It is known that Le Huu Toan is expected to make the aforementioned trip within 2 weeks. In the past, the WBA Asia champion of the Minimum weight was made a similar trip in 2017. During that journey, he rode his bicycle on a distance of approximately 4000km according to the Ca Mau – Hanoi – Dien Bien – Ha Giang route.
At the age of 29, Le Huu Toan is the 4th boxer of Vietnam winning a professional boxing championship, after Tran Van Thao, Truong Dinh Hoang and Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi. In the match in March, he defeated Thai boxer Kitidech Hirunsuk by calculating after 12 stressful rounds.
Less than 2 weeks after becoming an Asian champion, Toan continued to compete in the Boxing Championship of the nationwide strong teams of 2022 weight of 46kg men. He defeated boxer Duong Xuan Trong (Nghe An) in the final, thereby successfully defending the gold medal.
According to the WBA organization's ranking, Toan is currently the 15th in the world in his weight class. He is the South Vietnamese puncher who has the highest ranking in the international arena ever. It is expected that in October, Toan will continue to protect the WBA Asia championship.
