With Truong Dinh Hoang and Nguyen Manh Cuong failing, the South Vietnamese boxing team only had one fighter in the final. It was “The Trigger” Tran Van Thao, the fist competing in the 52kg weight class. Tran Van Thao's match will take place on May 22 at Bac Ninh Provincial Stadium.
