As one of the focal points of the 8th National Boxing Championship on 2022, the match in the semi-final weight of 63.5kg in the age of 17-18 was noticeable by two fighters attending from Hanoi and the army. These are two units that have a tradition of boxing and competition for many years.
The first half of the match ended with the advantage in favor of the martial artist Ngo Quang Head of the Army. However, the match only really heated up since Hiep 2. It was the time when Ha Minh Tuan (Hanoi) started to rise and turn the game upside down. From the passive position, he attacked the opposite opponent.
In the middle of the second half, Minh Tuan had a situation close to and punched continuously towards Quang Truong. Military boxers dodged the blow, then fell to the floor. Commenting on the plain, affecting the competition, the referee Ngo Nguyen Trung Kien (Dong Nai) requested to suspend the match to take care of the floor cleaning staff.
Entering the third half, the match took place hotter when the two boxers constantly used tricks, lowering the head of the opponent. After continuous reminders, referee Trung decided to deduct 1 point of Minh Tuan. Frustrated by this, the coach of Hanoi team threw a bottle of water at the referee.
Immediately after the situation happened, the match supervision asked the coach of the Hanoi team immediately to leave the technical area with the support from security guards. The match continued after a few minutes of interruption. At the end of the 3rd half, the army fighter's turn was deducted 1 point because of the bowed error. The match was so unpredictable.
At the end of 3 rounds, Ha Minh Tuan boxer (Hanoi) won the final victory over Ngo Quang Head (Army) with a score of 3-2. Details of scoring scores are as follows:

With the victory in the semi-final weight of 63.5kg in the age of 17-18, Ha Minh Tuan will enter the gold medal match against rival Tran Minh Tri (Binh Duong). In the semi -finals immediately after that, Minh Tri overcame Pham Duy Anh (Lao Cai) by winning RSC in the third round.
